John Langley

John Langley, 92, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, just four days before his 93rd birthday. He was born on August 26, 1933, in Augusta, Georgia.

John graduated from the University of Georgia with a law degree and began his military career in 1957, serving as an attorney in the United States Air Force.

He was a proud Air Force veteran who dedicated many years of his life to serving his country and retired in 1982 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

John had a curious mind and a lifelong love of learning. He was an avid reader and history buff who enjoyed photography, collecting, and caring for his animals . Photography was a particular passion of his. He served as the photographer for the local fire department, where he greatly valued the friendships and camaraderie he shared with the firefighters. He treasured the opportunity to socialize with them and capture special moments through his photographs.

John was a devoted husband to his wife, Latricia, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with love, companionship, and countless cherished memories.

John was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Martha Langley, who helped raise him and played a deeply meaningful role in his life.

John will be deeply missed by his wife, Latricia Ingram Langley; sisters-in-law Evelyn (Mike) McDowell and Barbara Knight Styles; brothers-in-law Jerry (Lasella) Ingram and Richard (Robbie) Ingram; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.

John leaves behind a legacy of service, intellect, and a life well lived.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
