Her surviving family: daughter, Emily Parsons & two granddaughters, Zoey Sargent and Skylynn Parsons; son, Dallas Parsons; sister, Melissa Sunday and brother, Eddie Cooper.
Jkay enjoyed taking her kids out to eat anywhere. She loved trying new foods. She absolutely enjoyed when it would be just us girls (Lissa, Emmy, & the grand girls).
Jkay was spontaneous and spunky. She loved the outside sunny days. She loved flower gardens. She loved jokes. She had some jokes too. You couldn't let her fool you 😂 She was funny when she wanted to be.
One thing that would make her the happiest of all was getting all her family together in one place having a wonderful time with each other. That is all she ever wanted in life.
She is preceded in death by her father John Dean & mother Mildred Dean; her son, Christopher Dean; her granddaughter, Ava Parsons & her grandson, Christian Strickland.
Johnnie (Jkay) Parsons, gave her life to God for the last two years of her life. She struggled with it but she fought very hard to remain strong in Christ. During the last few days, there was one sweet day Emily stayed online with her all day long on FaceTime. Jkay would sing gospel songs with Emily and the kids that day. It was one of Emily's best days. Days before she died, she told me she was ready to meet the lord. She cried out to him so much because she was in so much pain. That was a very difficult thing for me to see.
Her services will be held at Hardaway Assembly of God on 5279 Hardaway Hwy Chattahoochee, Florida 32324. The phone number for the church is 850-856-9733.
Flowers can be sent to the church starting April 2nd, 2026 .
However, if you wouldn't mind, in lieu of flowers we would like you to donate the funds to the https://tinyurl.com/ACSUSA (American Cancer Society). We really and wholeheartedly appreciate every single one of you and all of the moments you had with our mom and sister. She truly loved all of you. Thank you to all who could come and share with us.
