

He was born on September 17, 1956, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Charles Wyatt Jackson Sr. and Annette Eubanks Jackson.
Joey spent most of his career working in construction alongside his brother, Charlie. He also worked for several years with Leon County, where he helped maintain local parks. In later years, he took pride in his work as a dump truck driver.
In his free time, Joey could often be found on the Ochlockonee River or riding around in his truck listening to music. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and those who knew him will remember him as an outgoing, positive, and happy man.
Joey is survived by his daughter, Stevie Lewis, and her husband, Bradly, of Crawfordville, Florida; his sister, Jill Jackson, of Jacksonville, Florida; and his sister, Joy J. Pintovidal, and her husband, Cristian, of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends, including his great-niece and great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wyatt Jackson Sr.; his mother, Annette Eubanks Jackson; and his brothers, Charles W. Jackson Jr. and Ronnie Jackson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
