Josephine Kreitzman, age 89, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Tallahassee on March 21, 2026. She is survived by her four children, John Kreitzman of Charlottesville, Va, Justine Mahon of Tallahassee, FL, Antoine Mangiacapre of Staten Island, NY, Kurt Kreitzman of Georgetown, TX, her sister Lucille Caronna of Brooklyn, NY, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Josephine was born November 30, 1936 in Coney Island, NY to Frank and Maria Scimeca. The love of her life was her husband John and her greatest joy was her four children. Her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed swimming, sitting in the sun and all types of music. She loved flowers and later in life she enjoyed coloring them. Her smile, sense of humor and gentle personality will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00am, April 29, 2026 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 900 W. Tennessee Street, Tallahassee followed by a graveside service at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Pkwy. There she will rejoin the love of her life for eternity.
