Juanita Marie Oliver: 86, imagemaker & armed with an eye for fashion, Singer sewing machine and a community of fabric stores, our mom delivered years of "best dressed" clothing for her #1 daughter, curtains for homes n campers, New York fashions for her granddaughter and "business closing" neckties for her son. Anything that needed to be gussied up with fabric, mom could do it!
Outside her special talent with fabrics, our mom was a 65 year, first round pick by our dad Herb, and an always available mom to Lynn (Kevin), Steve (Carol), John and Ken (Amanda), grandmother to Sarah, Bradford, Sean (Kristin), Brett (Coventry), Cosmin, Maddie, Joe, Sam, Nick, Mike and great grandmother to Cameron Marie.
Daughter of Ralph and Marie Kuhnley, mom spent her early years in Havertown PA, educational days at Linden Hall, Lititiz PA and her child raising / mentoring tenure in the Andy of Mayberry town of Haddon Heights NJ. In 76, the folks moved from the homestead to year-around seashore living where she continued her teaching/mentoring of disabled adults at a NJ rehabilitation facility. At the tail end of our dad's AT&T career in Orlando Fl, mom & dad switched gears and invested 15 years of building and living the log home life in both Clermont, FL and Boone, NC. They then transitioned north to try 55 plus living in Middletown, Delaware and logged their final 10 years as a "Seminole" in the Southwood section of Tallahassee FL.
She left her mark and led a full life!
Our family expresses the deepest appreciation to caregiver, Mary Coker, altruist with a PhD in serving up country style happiness, a super grounded RN, Von Knight, our caring neighbor Suzy Dean, Marinetta, Ryan, Marvin and the rest of the ultra professionals at Big Bend hospice.
