

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home-Riggins Road.
J.W. was born in Quincy and was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee. He retired from Rose Printing Company and his second career was with the State of Florida where he retired as Bureau Chief with the Department of Natural Resources. Best known for his compassionate, loving heart, J.W. will long be remembered for his generous spirit and the helping hand he provided so many friends and family. He will love forever in our hearts.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Eloise Johnson, two daughters, Linda Johnson Bridges (Bobby) of Tallahassee, Sue Taylor (Mitchell) of Havana, four grandchildren, Brittany Bridges, Johnny Taylor, Shane Bridges, and Jordan Taylor, two brothers, James E. Johnson (Joann) and Charles S. Johnson (Sarah) both of Tallahassee, one sister, Estelle Woller of Crestview, and his devoted cousin, E.N. “Buddy” Johnson (Laverne ).
J.W. was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Dyer.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
