Born on July 2, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Gerry and Adeline Kemp. Graduated from Mercy High School (1956), University of Wisconsin B.A. (1960) M.S. (1963), Northwestern University PhD (1978). Taught Policial Science at University of Houston (1978-1979) and Florida State University (1980¬2007). She is survived by Goddaughter and Caregiver Tashay E. McFadden, her beloved granddaughter JaShayla Swatts, Emoni Swatts, and grandsons Mehki Footman and Khamari Jones. Kathleen enjoyed nature, reading, and her caring neighbors in Indianhead Acres. She is grateful to TMH staff, RN Irene and RN Ashton and Residential Dr. Brown. Kathleen had a heart of gold and was greatly appreciated for the lives she's changed. She will be missed tremendously.
