

Kathleen “Kathie” Taylor, 78, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on November 17, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathie filled her life with faith, family, and quiet acts of kindness that touched everyone who knew her.
A longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Kathie shared her deep faith generously. She taught religious education to both children and adults, supported Campus Ministry, and served as a Eucharistic Minister—roles she cherished and carried out with steadfast dedication.
Kathie graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as an accountant before retiring. Outside of work, she was happiest curled up with a good book or spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Her gentle humor, patience, and warmth created a home where everyone felt welcome and loved.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, David and Marion Taylor; her brothers David Taylor and Irvine Taylor; and her sister Elizabeth (Joe) Sinclair.
She is survived by her sister Frances (Jim) Docherty and her brother Ronald Taylor of St. Neots, Great Britain; her daughters Marion (Hal) Johnson and Danley Skelly, both of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren Lynn Cessna (Greensboro, FL), David Cessna, Katherine Bruijn, Amber (Clint) Collins (Tallahassee, FL), Daniel (Kara) Skelly (Beaufort, South Carolina), Arthur “Trey” (Amanda) Skelly (Carrollton, Texas); and her great-grandchildren JaKori Robinson, Nicholas Bruijn, Emma Bruijn, Adelyn Collins, Emeline Skelly, Lukas Cessna, Jakob Cessna, and Harper Collins; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass and memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
