Kathryn May Reed

Kitty Reed, age 95, surrounded by family and friends, passed away in Madison on March 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Waukeenah, Florida on March 12, 1919. The family moved to Tallahassee where she lived most of her life. She recently moved to Madison to live with her daughter Mary Gramling. She enjoyed raising her children, caring for her aging parents, being with her grandchildren and helping others. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting and fishing.She retired from the State of Florida after 30 years of service. She is survived by her daughter Mary Gramling (Harry); grandson, Keith and a great-grandson Dalton all of Madison, Florida. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by parents, Pat and Alice May; husband, Inman Bickley; second husband, Ernie Reed; Son, Roger Bickley; three brothers and a sister. A special word of appreciation to the staff of Madison Health for providing loving care to Miss Kitty for the last five months. Kitty will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held 1pm, Monday March 9, 2015 at Roselawn Cemetery Tallahassee. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
