

Kenneth Guy Eckel was born June 14, 1945. He was the son of Arthur G. Eckel and Viola Henry Eckel, both deceased.
Ken was a 1963 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS), a 1969 graduate of Hagerstown Junior College, and a 1971 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.
Before retiring in 2013, he was employed by BASF Corporation for over 33 years in various accounting and finance positions.
He served his country for 3 years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ken served an extended 22-month tour of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam before being honorably discharged to return home to civilian life.
Ken is a member of the Friendship Fire Company and the American Legion.
Survivors include wife Linda Eberly, whom he was married to for 55 years, and their children Kurt Joesph of Tallahassee and Kristen Lynn Eckel Money (husband, David) of Tallahassee. Grandchildren are: Zachery Joseph, Bryce, Makenzie, Allyson, Reiss, and Tyler-James.
Ken loved his retirement “career” and immensely enjoyed watching his grandchildren growing and maturing over the years! He leaves behind his Best Friend in the World, Linda and his two adult children that he proudly considered to be his friends!
