

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Charles Douglas and Vivian Louis Melvin; as well as his eldest brother, Wesley; his eternal companion, Donna Basford Douglas; and his grandson, Jeffrey Miller. Lacy is survived by his younger brother, Clint, and baby sister, Vera Ann.
Lacy was born in Jacksonville, Florida graduating from Paxon High School. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the West Central States mission. After his mission he married Evelyn Shikert, the mother of his children. He is survived by her as well as his five daughters and one son: Monica, Tiffany, Tracy, Julie, Amy and Jonathan. He is further survived by his 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as his nieces and nephews.
Lacy is a graduate from one of the first classes for Physician’s Assistants at the University of Florida, graduating in 1976. After moving to Tallahassee in 1985 he got his Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from FSU. In 1986 Lacy married his sweet wife, Donna, and gained three stepsons, Donnie, Joe and Richard Tucker. He recently retired from practicing at the end of 2024. He was not only service oriented in his professional life, but his personal life as well. He impacted many lives for good with his great Faith, love for the Savior and beautiful singing voice.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 6-8pm at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 2pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 312 Stadium Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32304 with burial to follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
