Leonard Fredrick Malphurs

Fred is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Tina Malphurs. He is also survived by his children Rick Malphurs and his wife Mary-Kathryn Malphurs, Christina Joyner and her husband Eric Joyner, and Sara Malphurs. Additionally, he is survived by an uncle, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He loved his grandchildren immensely, Nate Malphurs, Hannah Joyner, Madison Malphurs, Rylynn Reid, Hayden Joyner, and Tallulah-Mae Malphurs.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Annette Malphurs, his father CJ Malphurs, and his brother Kenneth Malphurs.

Fred was born on October 19, 1958, in Tallahassee, Florida to Frances and CJ Malphurs. He married Tina in 1980, and resided in Crawfordville, Florida for the last 24 years.

He was a generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He worked as a leader in the septic tank industry for over 30 years and loved the ability he had to help people every day, whether they were customers or employees.

He was a hunter, a fisherman, and loved the outdoors. His family and friends will always remember him as a larger-than-life man who could do anything. We love you!

Viewing and visitation is scheduled on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 4:00 pm with the funeral to follow at 5:00 pm. There will be a reception directly following the service. The service will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral home; 1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
