

She was born in Smith Creek, Florida on December 23, 1939 to the late Ira and Lettie Langston. Levita graduated from Sopchoppy High School and married Charles T. Faircloth, Sr. on July 2, 1960.
Levita went back to work after her youngest son had graduated from high school and was off to college. She retired from the State of Florida House of Representatives after serving for nearly 20 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had a passion for Jesus Christ, trees, travel and gospel singing.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Nancy; oldest son, Chuck (Nancy); youngest son, Christopher (Ellen); three grandsons, Charles III “Chad”, Nicklaus “Nick” and Jacob “Jake”; brother, Terry (Lena); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Garland, Ted and I.L., and two sisters, Ouida and Elaine.
The family would like to extend their thanks Big Bend Hospice; friends Shelly, Tammy and Miriette; and a special thanks to Brian and the Visiting Angels.
A visitation will be held October 19, 2022 at 9am at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2351 Mahan Drive, with memorial service beginning at 10am. Inurnment to follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road.
