

She was born on November 9, 1925 to Anna Flood Mathison in McVille, North Dakota. She was only 3 years old when her mother passed away in 1929, Bertha Johnson was her step mother til she passed away in 1969. Her dad, Jens, also passed away in 1969.
Lillian received her education for eight years in a one room country school that her grandfather, Paul Flood, built on his property in North Dakota.
She graduated from McVille High School in 1943, she then went to Mayville State College. She later moved to Pontiac, Michigan with her husband, Hollis Solberg, and graduated from Wayne State University. She taught school for six years in North Dakota and 27 years in Michigan. After she retired, she worked in Real Estate for five years.
After 28 years of marriage she was widowed in 1974. Later, she married Reverend Dorr Fockler of Union Lake, Michigan. They retired to Florida in 1985. She became a widow again in 1993.
She had been faithfully involved in church wherever she lived.
She leaves her precious daughter, Dorothy Lewis of Tallahassee. Dorothy was ten years old when she was adopted.
Eight Loving stepchildren came when she married Rev. Fockler: Debbie Lowis of Saline, Michigan; (late) Priscilla Leineke (Ike) of Clare, Michigan; Rebecca Musgrave (Larry) of Lake Placid, Florida; Carl Fockler (Mary); John Fockler (Anne) of Waterford, Michigan; Suzanne Roedecker (Rich) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Thomas Fockler (Judy) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Miriam French (Jay) of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She also leaves her caring sister, Betty Mathison; brother, James Mathison, of Louisville, Kentucky; as well as fifteen grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other in-laws; and many friends and neighbors.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
A memorial service will be held at Wildwood Presbyterian Church of America at 100 Ox Bottom Road, Tallahassee, Florida at a later date.
