

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on Nov. 28, 1933 and had lived in Wakulla County since 1976. She honorably served in the Armed Forces in the United States Army, which is a testament to her character in itself. Ann was hardworking, headstrong and devoted in everything she did. After serving in the Army she opened her own business,"This-N-That Ceramics" in Crawfordville, Florida. Ann was also a devout member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Medart, FL. She enjoyed hobbies such as cross stitch, crochet and word games.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Mitchell McElroy, Jr., and her parents, James Greene and Mary Louise Hillman.
She is survived by her sons, James Bruce McElroy and wife, Jane, of Las Vegas, Charles Virgil McElroy of Crawfordville, and David Mitchell McElroy and wife, Belinda, of Sopchoppy; her sister-in-law, Cecelia Lucille Mulligan, of Alto, GA; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Gerrick, Meredith, Angela, John, Brittany and Brooke; and several great-grandchildren including great-grandson, Finn Prince, of Tallahassee.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery in Medart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
