I am so saddened to hear of your great loss. Please know that I am praying for God's comfort for all of you. Mrs. Pumphrey was such a beacon of light and love to everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by many many people.

hi Pumphrey clan,
I was very sorry to hear from Mom that Mrs. Pumphrey passed away, and I wish I could be in Tallahassee this coming week for the celebration of her life.  
She was always so kind, caring and loving to my siblings and me (and I cannot ever recall her without a beaming smile), and I know that some of my parents' (and Uncle Edwin and Aunt Phyllis') favorite memories were their travels with Lois and Jim.
I hope that your family will draw strength from the closeness, funny stories and happy memories you will share this week and in the coming years.  It was always very clear how much Mrs. Pumphrey loved all of you.

dear dr. pumphrey and family, i don't know if you will remember me or not.  i was a dental hygienist for dr. miers so many, many years ago.  i had only met your wife and mother a time or two, but i was always impressed with her warm smile and friendliness.  i know you will all miss her.
