She was born May 5, 1925 in Queens, New York to the late John O. Veit and Ann Loretta Joy. She graduated from
Wisdom Academy and in 1947 with a BA in history and English from St. Johns University, Brooklyn, New York. She married James Ross on June 18, 1949 and was the mother of seven children and nine grandchildren; Edward of Tampa Fl.; Patricia of Bali Indonesia; John of Cleveland OH; Robert of Green Bay WI; Kenneth of Tallahassee; Michael of EI Paso TX; Peter of Portland OR.
She was a very intelligent woman but above all, loving and caring. She was one of God's gentlest creatures.
Visitation will be held 6-8PM EST, Monday, December 13 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
