Malonie Sharman Melin, 81, a loving mother, of Tallahassee, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 with her children by her side. She is remembered and loved by her family and many friends, always known for her big, generous heart. Family and friends meant so much to her.
Malonie was born July 9, 1939, and raised in Tallahassee. She graduated from Florida High in 1956. She worked for Tallahassee Leon Federal Credit Union for 33 years as a loan officer. She was a devoted member of Southwood Baptist Church.
Malonie loved taking trips to North Carolina with her late husband, Bob, where they would vacation in their mountain home. She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. Not only would she decorate the inside of her house but, with the help of her family, she would decorate her two-acre front yard with thousands of lights and Christmas decorations. It meant so much to her for others to get as much enjoyment out of it as she did.
