Marcus Allen Hobbs, 36, of Tallahassee died Saturday, (3/14) , at the home of a friend. A native of Pascagoula, MS he came to Tallahassee from Panama City in 1996. Marcus was a traveling nurse and travelled extensively for work as well as for pleasure. He worked throughout the US in Emergency Rooms and Intensive Care and was involved in with setting up the Tallahassee NE Trauma Center. Marcus had a BS in Social Science from FSU and a Nursing Degree from Gulf Coast College of Panama City, and had recently been accepted to CRNA School, Gooding Institute in Panama City. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his parents: Sherry Hobbs of Tallahassee, Allen (Daphne) Hobbs of Panama City; maternal grandmother: Sue Stallman of Pensacola; sisters: Stacey (Reagan) Hobbs of Tallahassee, Andrea (Brad) Rice of Bossier City, LA; nieces and nephews: Clayton, Hailey, Carson Hobbs of Tallahassee; Peyton Allen and London Rice of Bossier City, LA.
