Margaret McKamey "Maggie" Beaumont

Margaret McKamey "Maggie" Beaumont, 60, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Beaufort, NC, June 13, 1952. She moved to Tallahassee in 1954 with her family where she remained until her death. Maggie worked as a legal secretary her entire career. She enjoyed cooking, reading, water sports, and her latest hobby was gardening.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 21, 2012, 6 p.m. EST at Culley's Meadowwood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd. in Tallahassee. At Maggie's request, a lively party and celebration of her life will follow at her son's home, 2440 Papillion Way in Tallahassee.

Survivors include her mother, Elsie G. McKamey; sons, Ernest E. "Lucky" Beaumont, III and Joseph A. Beaumont, all of Tallahassee; brother, Frank E. McKamey (Mary June) of Carrabelle; sister, Barbara L. McBride (Larry); granddaughters, Katie N. Beaumont and Thea N. Beaumont; grandson, Ernest E. "Lucky" Beaumont, IV, all of Tallahassee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Roy L. McKamey and brother, Michael L. McKamey.

She was dearly loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
