Margaret “Carol” Snyder Collins 91, of Tallahassee, Florida, died on Friday, June 20, 2025. Daughter of the late Margaret Clement and Willard Theodore Snyder, she was born in Charlotte, Michigan, on September 27, 1933.
She served as an officer in the United States Navy from 1955-58. Carol was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for nearly forty years, as well as an extraordinary cook, a brilliant knitter, and a collector of all things aesthetic. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a graduate of Chestnut Hill College and enjoyed a wonderful life of travel and adventure beside her husband throughout his career with the United States Department of State.
Carol was preceded in death by her father and mother, and her husband, Robert Deville Collins. She is survived by siblings Bill Snyder Jr. (Jill) of Austin, Texas, and Connie Stewart and Dr. Robert D. Snyder, both of Tallahassee; sons Robert Collins (Julie), and Christopher Collins (Christina); four grandchildren Joshua Collins, Alexandra Capers (Justin), Amelia Rogers (Eric), and Sean Collins; and one great-grandchild, Mila Capers.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Saturday, June 28, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a private interment at a later date.
