Margaret Wofford

She was born on June 6, 1917 in Ashburn, Georgia. Before retiring, she was an office manager, a real estate broker and citrus grower. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula.

She is preceded in death by husband H. D. Wofford of Wauchula, all her brothers and sisters and parents Elijah and May Bird Stephens of Lakeland, Florida.

Survivors include her son, Steve Wofford and wife Jane of Tallahassee, grandson David Wofford of Tallahassee, and granddaughter Laura Wofford Brandewie and husband Brett of Birmingham, Alabama.

A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Tallahassee 108 West College Avc. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to services led by Dr. Doug Dortch and will conclude at the church.

Burial will take place in the Wauchula City Cemetery on Wednesday October 13, 2010 after a service scheduled at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior being conducted at the First Baptist Church Chapel 1570 West Main St., Wauchula,Fl.

Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
