

An outstanding educator, she was adored and survived by: her daughters: Maritza López and Ivette Amelia López, her son-in-love, Tom Abbruscato, her granddaughter and namesake, Maria Cristina Abbruscato López; her siblings Luz Angélica, Norma and José Ernesto, and her nieces and nephews from multiple generations, who she always remembered.
She’s going to be reunited with her love and husband, Luis López Medina, and her siblings Ramona, Gloria, Victor, Lynn, Carmen Ana, Ángel Orlando, Hector, and Luis Roberto. After they passed, she was never the same.
Many children and adults in Caguas, Puerto Rico learned how to learn and teach through the arts, thanks to her great talent and imagination. Her love of art was her legacy. It touched many lives and generations of children in Puerto Rico. In those children, and all of us, she lives on. We’ll see each other again in Heaven, Mamita linda.
