Milas long life was full of love and adventure, painting and words. Mila was born in Brazil and married as a young woman. She and her husband had two children, Soneca (Bianca) and Sebastian. While raising her children she worked as a flight attendant, fashion model, and financial analyst for the Brazilian stock exchange. It was in Rio de Janeiro that she met her second husband, Kenneth De La Hunt. They lived in California, where Mila completed her BA in English literature at San Jose State University. They moved to Rio de Janeiro. Later in Boise Idaho she completed her MFA in Creative Writing. She worked on her PhD in Tallahassee at Florida State University. During this time Kenneth passed away.
All her life she painted beautiful, fantastic subjects, reflecting the color and energy through which she experienced all of her challenges, gifts and relationships. Her art and stories are a witness to the rich life full of unique experiences. To have known Mila was to know a bright torch spinning through the world. Her light will be missed. She is survived by her daughter Bianca and her son Sebastian.
