Marjorie "Margie" Lolley Sheffield

Margie was born in Apalachicola, Florida on November 6, 1938. She married Elmer Sheffield, Jr., the love of her life on March 21, 1959. She worked at Brewton Machinery Shop for many years, then she became Secretary Treasurer of Sheffield Auto & Truck Body Shop Inc., where she helped her husband manage and run an established family business for many years until retirement. Margie was a former Tallahassee Twirlers, where her husband Elmer called square dancing for many years. If you ever attended a Tallahassee Twirlers event, you could spot Margie immediately with her big happy smile and twirling around in her big full skirt like no one else - what a sight to see. Margie also had a small farm in Tallahassee where she would board horses and had one of her own there, and loved just spending the day at the farm. She also loved to do Farmville on the interne where she had quite a farm.

Her husband Elmer Jr., was the love of her life for over 65 years, and she loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Margie was a member of Lake Bradford Baptist Church.

Margie is survived by her husband Byron Elmer Sheffield, Jr.; her daughter Susan Sheffield Hayes; son-in-law Frank Hayes; daughter-in-law Lisa Sheffield, brother Timothy Lolley (Debra) of Tallahassee, sister Evelyn Vickers (Robert) of Cypress Texas and sister Glenda Wesson (Howard) of Sopchoppy, Florida. One of Margie's greatest joys in her life was being a grandmother to 5 grandchildren, James, Natalie, Lindsay, Allie, and Byron IV, and one great grandchild Madelyn. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces that all loved her.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents Charles Hobert Lolley, Sr., Ora Lee Howell Lolley, her son Byron Elmer Sheffield III, her brothers Hobert Leonard Lolley (Gloria) and Charlie Lolley (Gail).

Margie was a true wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother and a friend to all, and she truly will be missed.

Funeral Services will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood | Timberlane Road Chapel on Thursday April 11, 2024 at 11am with burial to follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the Sheffield family asks that you consider donations to Lake Braford Baptist Church in Margie’s honor.
