

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tony McCoy; a daughter, Laura; and a son, Jon (Jessica). She is also survived by her mother Corrie Huizinga, brothers Ron (Debbie) and Wayne, and nieces and nephews, and mother in-law, Zenobia McCoy. Marlene died October 22, 2025, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease, in Big Bend Hospice, Tallahassee. She was predeceased by her father, Clarence.
Marlene worked for years as a certified nursing assistant in the Saint Catherines and Hamilton areas of Ontario. She left nursing due to injuries and in Saint Catherines in 1993, she married Tony McCoy. Marlene became a homemaker and started a family which she raised in Chattahoochee and then Tallahassee, Florida. Marlene was a devout Christian and homemaker. She is deeply missed.
There was no visitation or funeral service and ashes were given to the family to privately celebrate her life at another date before inurnment. Thank you, everyone for your kind words and flowers.
