She grew up in a family where creativity was lived and celebrated. Her mother was a painter, known especially for her portraits, and her grandfather and uncle operated a successful decorating business in New York City. That artistic spirit stayed with Marsha throughout her life and found expression in many forms.
Marsha graduated from Woodbury High School and Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia, carrying her love of learning and the arts into every chapter of her life.
While living in South Florida, Marsha met her late husband, Bill, and together they shared both life and work, owning a gift shop in Florida and later a “Miss Muzzie’s Tea Room” in Augusta, Kansas.
After Bill’s passing, Marsha moved to Clinton, Missouri, where she continued to cultivate a rich and meaningful life—making friends, volunteering at the local hospital and museum, and sharing her artistic talents through numerous art shows and community events.
Marsha will be remembered for her creativity, kindness, curiosity, and her deep love for family, friends and community.
Marsha is survived by her son Mike Campbell and wife Lori of Tallahassee, Florida; son Kalynn Campbell of Orlando, Florida; stepdaughter, Donna Stewart and husband Ladd of Augusta, Kansas; stepdaughter, Kathy Gann and husband Greg of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren, Amanda Campbell, Aaron and Daniel Stewart, and her brother John Sprague along with nephews and nieces.
A memorial is being planned at Drake Chapel in Clinton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation, www.parkinson.org, or Parkinson’s Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York 10018 in loving memory of Marsha Hulvey.
