

Marvin Price Alford, 63, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away after a valiant fight with multiple myeloma on December 29, 2012. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida, graduated from Leon High School, and then received his business degree from the Florida State University. Upon graduation from college, he was employed by the State of Florida’s Revenue Department and served there for over 35 years. He was a devoted fan of the Florida State Seminoles, an avid outdoorsman, and a warm and caring person with an unassuming manner and a dry sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Denise Alford, children Courtney Kieu and Drew Alford, as well as siblings Dorothy Ashmore, Julian Alford and Betty Lee. He will also be missed by his friends and by a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, January 2nd at 11:00 am at Culley’s Funeral Home on Riggins Road. Reception will follow the service at Culley’s.
