

Mary Elizabeth Griffin, beloved Mother, Gamma and Great Gamma, 98, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025. Mary was born to Florrie and Phillip George on August 17, 1926 in Tallahassee, Florida. She worked at DOE credit union and later at Sunshine State Credit Union which has since become the First Bank, as a bookkeeper. Mary was an avid member of Killearn Methodist Church and loved it dearly. She was also a Master Gardener and would always be found in her garden and would give neighbors and random people passing by flowers, plants and root stems. She also loved to paint pottery she molded with her own kiln, as well as knitting, crochet, cross stitch, crosswords and cooking large Sunday dinners.
Mary is survived by her beloved daughter, Mary Karen Roberts; her only granddaughter, Scout Roberts (Emil) Ganim; her six great grandchildren, Kayli Ganim, Dennis Ganim, Syre Ganim, Emil Ganim, Cash Ganim and Joseph Ganim; her nephew, Eddie Ranew and niece, Cathy Budde; great nephew, Brent Budde and his family; great niece, Nikki Lykins and her family and great nephew, Justin Ranew and his family and many people who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Aurora George and Catherine Ranew; her brother-in-law, Ed Ranew, her niece, Linda Duggar and her beloved son, George McKenzie.
She will always be remembered in our hearts and is our angel in Heaven now wandering the gardens in her happy place.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Killearn Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Moore Cemetery.
