

Mary Olive Terhune, age 79, was taken into God's open arms on February 26, 2018 after a long battle against cancer. She is preceded in death by her father Frank Lund, mother Dorothy Lund, and husband Donald Leroy Terhune.
Mary was born in Miami, Florida on April 14, 1938 and was the only daughter to Frank and Dorothy. After graduation, Mary attended college at Tennessee Temple for one year and returned to Miami to attend college at the University of Miami. While there she met her love, Donald Terhune and both graduated with Music Education Degrees. Mary taught music and band at many private schools in Miami and finished her 45 year teaching career at Paul Bell Middle School in Miami. Her influence can still be heard from former students and peers.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Robert (Brenda), Michael (Angela), and Patrick (Kylene) and her grandchildren, Danielle Cazares, Chloe and Todd Terhune, and Keegan Terhune as well as great grandchild Jackson Cazares. Mary will also be remembered by her extended family and large amount of dear friends. Mary will join Donald in internment at the Tallahassee National Cemetery Friday 3/16, and a planned celebration of life will be held Friday morning (3/16) at Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
