

Michael Patrick Crego, age 46, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on October 14, 2024. Born in Joliet, Illinois, to Frank Crego and Stormie Doyle, Michael spent the majority of his life in Florida. Tallahassee is where he built a legacy of service, honor, and dedication to his community and family with his wife, Cecelia Crego.
A highly decorated Deputy Sheriff, Michael served for more than 21 years. His calling was that of a "Motor Man," and he lived each day with a deep commitment to law enforcement, always ready to protect and serve the people of his community. His passion for his work was evident to all who knew him and he woke every day eager to serve.
His hobbies included cooking and grilling for his friends and family and sharing his musical talents with all who would listen. Michael was a talented singer and his voice will long be remembered.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Cecelia Crego, and children: daughter, Trinity Crego, and sons, Cole, Samuel, Simon, and Cooper Crego. He is also survived by his father, Frank Crego (Glenda), and his mother, Stormie Doyle (Tom); his sister, Misty Crego Brown (Eric), and his brother, Matthew Crego (Heather); as well as his stepbrothers, Jon Frette, Jacob Williams (Iesha), and Jeremy Williams. He leaves behind a sister in law, Brittney Davidson (William) and a large, loving family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepsister, Lindsey Frette, and his best friend, Princess Leia, who shared in many of his adventures.
Michael will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and children, his service, and the love he gave to those around him. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A gathering of family & friends for Michael will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:30PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
