

Born on September 21, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michael moved to Madison during his elementary school years, where he lived and worked for much of his life. Following his retirement, he relocated to Tallahassee, Florida.
Michael was a businessman, hunter, fisherman, skier, golfer, and avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in nature. He was also a lifelong dog lover. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was known for hosting large cookouts and gatherings that brought people together. His generosity, sense of humor, and love of the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth; his brother, Joe; and his sister, Karen.
He is survived by his sons, Jon (Jennifer), Tim, and Kris (Amanda); Wendy, with whom he shared many years and raised their three sons; his siblings Bob, John (Diane), Peggy (John), Mary (Jane), Chris (Ron), and his sister-in-law, Annette; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
Michael will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his adventurous spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His beloved dog, Moose, was by his side when he passed.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be announced at a later date.
