

Milton V. Meadows, 90, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012. He was a native of Collinsville, AL and has lived in Tallahassee for 60 years. Milton was a graduate of Auburn University and was employed by the State of Alabama for several years before moving to Florida. He was head of the Seed Laboratory for the Florida Dept. of Agriculture for 30 years. He retired in 1982 and enjoyed 30 more happy and active years camping, fishing and traveling with his family. He was a member of the Timberlane Church of Christ and the Tallahassee Good Sam Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred L. Meadows, 3 daughters, Alice Bishop (Dave) of Little Rock, AR, Vicki Threadgill (Dennis) of Tallahassee, FL, Wanda Cacchiotti (Don) of Loveland, Ohio, 6 grandchildren; Spencer Bishop (Heather) of Little Rock, AR, Jeremy Bishop (Beth) of Conway, AR Amanda Sapp (Matt) of Tallahassee, FL, Benjamin Threadgill (Lindsey) of Tallahassee, FL, Tracy Cacchiotti of Loveland, Ohio, Scott Cacchiotti (Leanne) of Loveland, OH, 7 great grandchildren; Alex Bishop, Bret Bishop, Isabella Bishop, Emeline Sapp, Connor Bishop, Aiden Cacchiotti and Nolan Sapp, 1 sister, Clara Wright of Collinsville, AL and 1 sister-in-law, Verda Meadows of Birmingham, AL. and a brother-in-law: John Loftin (Joyce) of Montgomery ,Al.
Family will receive friends at Culleys-Meadowwood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Monday (August 6th.,2012) at 10:00 a.m.. Burial to follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
His family wishes to thank the caring staff off Consulate Rehab for their compassionate, tender care in his last days.
