Miriam Stroman Koelliker

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, EST, Saturday, January 15, 2010 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest B. Koelliker, her parents Carl Stroman and Eula Howard; and her sister Doris Wolfe. She graduated from Leon County High School in Tallahassee FL, and attended Florida State College for Women, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She married Ernest Bagnall Koelliker in 1946. After living in seven cities in six states they returned to Florida and resided in Sopchoppy on the Ocholockonee River for 27 years. While there she was very active in the Methodist church and local garden club.

Mrs. Koelliker is survived by her three daughters, Kathy Moss of Mooresville, NC; Susan (Larry) Brandstetter of Lexington, KY; and Mary (Art) Barbiche of Bozeman, MT. Miriam, affectionately called "Mim" by her grandchildren, is also survived by four grandchildren Ben (Karen) Brandstetter of Hebron, KY; Stacy (Josh) Krieg of Camarillo, CA; Kim (Aaron) Darnton, Bremerton, WA.; and Karla (Ian) Brawner, Portland, OR; and four great grandchildren. In addition, she is also survived by sisters-in-law, Nancy Lamb, GA; Lynne Koelliker, FL; nieces; Stephanie Sidella, MD; Linda Williams, TN; Laura McKelvey, GA; and Lisa Murray GA; and nephews; Michael Wolfe, GA, George Koelliker, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested for Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504-3277
