Nancy Kathryn Braddock (Bradford) Davis, 81, went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 18,2025 after a battle with cancer. Born in Perry, Florida on September 12, 1944, Nancy was preceded in her death by 2 husbands (Fred Bradford and William Davis), her parents (Foy & Kathryn Braddock), and brother (Foy Braddock). She is survived by her two stepdaughters: Rachel (Davis) Knowlton and Sharon (Davis) Allison; her niece, Joanne Lambert and nephew Brian Braddock; grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
She met and married William “Bill” Davis on September 25, 1999. Her and Bill then embarked on a life together serving the community together through Christ while raising and enjoying their grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of FSU and UNC Chapel Hill. She made a career as a night shift ER nurse and several other departments at TMH for over 25 years.
Upon retirement together, Nancy and Bill enjoyed socializing with friends, visiting family, and being active in their church. Nancy also enjoyed the love of being with her cats (often with Bill saying they drove him crazy) and visiting or traveling to see family in New Orleans, West Virginia, and Orlando. She loved to speak about her fondness and time spent in New Orleans when she was younger.
Nancy was loved by all of us that knew her and spent time with her. We will all miss her sharp sense of humor, wit and “feisty” attitude. We are thankful now she has gone to be with our Lord in Heaven.
A special thank you to the caregivers at Bid Bend Hospice for their support and care for Nancy and our family during the last few weeks. We ask for donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to Big Bend Hospice in her memory.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Church of Tallahassee on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00am, with interment to be held at the National Cemetery later.
