Norma M. O'Meara

Norma M. O’Meara, 87, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday August 23, 2015. Norma was born in Revere, MA to the late Louis and Kathrine Malagodi (Fuccione). Norma grew up in Somerville, MA and attended Somerville High before receiving her Associates Degree from Boston University. She later received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts. She worked as Director of International Internship for many years at Mount Holyoke College. The past 12 years she has been living in Tallahassee.

Norma is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, William F. O’Meara and 6 of her children and their families, Kathrine and Carl Hubel and son Nathaniel, William and Paula O’Meara and children Billy, Jessica, Kathrine, Anna, Sean, David, and Connor, Sean and Denise O’Meara, Nina and Dave Miller and children Scott, Shannon, Holly, Zack and Matt, and Daniel O’Meara, and Paul O’Meara and children Stephen, Michael, David, and Sarah. She is also survived by her sister Louise Collins, and brothers Richard and Charles Malagodi. She was predeceased by her brother John Malagodi. Norma leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Family and Faith were the two loves of her life. Norma, also affectionately called Nana by her grandchildren, was a wonderful cook. In addition, Norma was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and was a lay Dominican.
