Pat passed away on July 13, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida, peacefully at home surrounded by her family, following a battle with cancer. She passed away minutes after midnight on what would have been her mother’s 102nd birthday. She was incredibly fun, smart, and easy to love. She had a gift for making others feel known, valued, and cared for, whether she had known them for minutes or years.
She was born May 21, 1945, in Reading, Pennsylvania to Kenneth and Cecelia Herb. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Albert “Al” J. Conner Jr. They met in the first grade and started dating at age 16. After getting married, they moved around Pennsylvania and New Jersey until settling in South Florida. They moved to Tallahassee over thirty years ago and lived here ever since. Pat’s 60-year marriage to Al was characterized by love, mutual respect, and countless adventures. She and Al loved to travel internationally together. Their home was expertly decorated by Pat with art and trinkets from all of their trips.
Pat was a jack of all trades and embraced numerous different roles throughout her life. Early on, she was a bank teller in Pottstown. Then, she was a stay-at-home mother to her two children, Mark and Amy. For many years, she was a realtor. This is how she met her son-in-law, Masoud, who she introduced to her daughter, Amy. She spent the past 18 years as the bookkeeper, event assistant, and joyful front desk greeter for her daughter Amy’s event company. Amy could not have started the business without her. Throughout all her years, she helped with all of her husband Al’s various projects and plans.
Pat was always up for a fun activity. She was a fabulous cook (especially her homemade spaghetti). She was the best wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and person. She was always ready to lend a listening ear. When asked what her favorite things were, she said her memories of a life well lived.
Pat is survived by her husband, Albert J. Conner Jr.; her children, Mark (Davina) Conner and Amy (Masoud) Karimipour; her grandchildren, Amanda (Bryan) Jones, Emily Conner, Hanna (Richard Grant) Karimipour, and Zachary Karimipour; her great-grandchildren, Mac Jones and Alice Grant; and her brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Herb and Jim (Gwen) Herb. She leaves behind many other friends and family who she loved dearly.
Pat touched the lives of everyone who had the gift of knowing her. Pat will be sorely missed, especially anytime we eat a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs, forget to pack a sweater, or need our favorite adventure partner. Her kindness, warmth, and joy will be remembered forever. We find comfort knowing she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus and reunited with those who went before at home in Heaven.
All family and friends are invited for a service at 10am on July 20, 2026, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 8300 Deer Lake S, Tallahassee, FL, where she was a member for over 35 years. A reception is to follow at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, FL. A private family burial will be held after the reception. Thank you to all family and friends for making Pat have a wonderful life!
