

Pat was born and raised in Florida. She moved to Tallahassee in 1938 when her father, Elwyn Thomas became a Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida. Pat graduated from Leon High School and FSCW-FSU.
In 1946, Pat married native Tallahassean Walter Meginniss. Walter was a naval officer and his service took them to duty stations all over the world. Pat and Walter returned to Florida when Walter retired from the Navy and took up the practice of law. They re-settled in Tallahassee. At Pat’s death, she and Walter had been married 67 years.
Pat was a devoted and active parishioner of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She was a beloved friend of many, ages 1 to 101.
Pat is survived by her husband Walter, her children Terry Meginniss and Trish Rouse, her sister Pam Roseman, her grandchildren Kelly Friend and Darby Shaw of Tallahassee, Emma Mann-Meginniss of San Francisco, Marisa Rouse of Charlotte, NC, and Sam Rouse of Memphis, TN, and by her niece Amanda Colbenson of Brooklyn, NY. She was pre-deceased by her oldest child, Lyndi Green.
Pat was generous and selfless, a remarkable and inspiring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She is sorely missed. Services will be held privately.
