

It is with saddened hearts that we announce Paul Lynn Croft passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Paul and Debra had a great love story which began nearly 45 years ago. Paul was known fondly as “Papa” to his four grandchildren and recently became a great grandfather.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 6, 1954, he graduated from Ed White High School in 1973 and was known by his friends as Paul C 12 P. Upon graduating, Paul worked in food service management for 29 years and retail management for 16 years, until his retirement in 2016. Throughout the years, he loved traveling and camping. He was a diehard Florida State fan. He enjoyed playing golf and going to Sebring International Raceway with family and friends. Paul took pride in mowing and maintaining his lawn, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Paul believed in Jesus and his Christian faith was a center point to everything he did. He never met a stranger; his sense of humor and compassion often made many friends become family.
Paul is survived by his wife Debra and their son Jeremy. He is also survived by his daughter Rachel (David) Flinchum, grandchildren Kyle, Kayleigh (Jacob) Finley, Eli, and Makayla, great granddaughter Josephine Finley, and brothers, Bill (Fay) Hubbard and Lawrence Croft.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Caroline Croft and his sister Cheryl Clark. His memory will continue to inspire everyone who knew him to live a faith filled life, knowing we will soon see him again.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday June 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
