She was born on December 7, 1946 in Thomasville, GA and was the daughter of the late Glyn H. and Francis Thacker Henley.
She attended schools in Tallahassee, Port St. Joe and Crestview and graduated high school in Orlando, FL. She moved to Tallahassee in 1979 to be with her family. She had been employed by the Florida Bar Association and retired from the Leon County Clerk of the Court office in 2009. She was a member and past officer of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Tallahassee Lodge #937. She enjoyed working with and raising money for Florida Elks Charities and she was an avid FSU Seminole football fan.
She is survived by her brother Wm. Larry Henley (wife Pam), Tallahassee; her nieces: Courtney Henley Peterson, M.D. (husband Matt) of Salt Lake City and Brandy Radey (husband Ted) of Denver; plus her great-nephews and nieces, Magnus and Viveca Peterson, Piper and Jack Radey.
