Peggy Morris Holleman passed away, Thursday, January 26, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Mrs. Holleman was born to Henry Orland and Vella Cooper Morris in Lafayette, Georgia. She relocated to Tallahassee in 2005. She married John Lockhart Holleman in Lafayette, Georgia and raised three children. She later in life worked as a textile worker at Salem Carpets, and finally as a caregiver in various roles for adult group homes and individuals with terminal diseases. Even in her middle stages of Alzheimer’s she was known for her compassion and care-giving to other residents and gave out hugs freely.
Memorial services will be held in her hometown of Lafayette, Georgia at a later date.
She is survived by her sister, Jessie Paul, three children, sons Douglas (Cyndi) Holleman and Bryan Holleman, daughter Mary Jane Farmer, five grandchildren, Jacob Holleman, Lana Holleman Remington, John Farmer,Bonnie Farmer Stephens and Teigh-Jae Monshor, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
