He was born on March 16, 1941, in Long Branch, New Jersey.
Michael earned a bachelor's degree in education and taught at Monmouth College and St. John Vianney High School in New Jersey, as well as the University of South Florida and Keiser University.
In the late 1970s, he moved to Florida and embraced a new chapter, opening a Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership in Ocala. His love for motorcycles and the open road became a defining part of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynne Nappi; his three children, Debbi Tellez, Michael Nappi, and Kimberlie Pekez; his stepdaughter, Stacey Simmons; his sister, Patricia Garrigana; as well as 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A service to honor his life will be held on July 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
