Raleigh Carlton Cross, age 80, passed away at home in Monticello, FL, surrounded by his loving family.Raleigh was born to RC and Mary Lee Cross in November of 1934 in Iron City, GA. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. Raleigh proudly served our country in the US Army.He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Marvin Cross, Wayne Cross, and Jim Carter. Raleigh is survived by his: loving wife of 54 years, Martha; children: Jennifer (John) Black, Kenneth (Lisa) Cross, Lori Cross-Smith (Fred); grandchildren: Amy (Jeff) Cook; Jaron (Sara) Gould; Kaden Gould, Hannah Kilgore, Sydney Black, and Noah Black; his great-grandchildren: Marleigh Michalski, Gavin Cook, Lana Gould, and Amelia Gould; sister, Becky (Al) Vealey; and sister-in-law, Juanita Cross.He is also survived by his faithful companion and best friend, Gracie. The Visitation will be held Friday, March 27 at 1 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home—700 Timberlane Road—with the Funeral Service following at 2PM.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Covenant Hospice of Tallahassee.The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice nurses and aids for their care, compassion, and support.
