Richard Douglas White Sr.

Richard Douglas White, Sr., 80, a retiree of Sprint/Centel in Tallahassee, passed away Saturday, September 23rd at Big Bend Hospice after an extended hospital stay from surgery. He moved the family to Tallahassee in 1964 to work for Southeastern Telephone Company after graduating from Southern Tech in Marrietta outside of Atlanta.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Greer White; his parents, Ray White, Sr and Leila Florence White and his granddaughter, Rachel Diane White. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Ray and Winnell White of Ocala, his two sons, Richard Douglas White, Jr with wife Joane Marie White, and David Greer White with wife Mary Allison White, his grandchildren Richard David White with wife Katherine Britt White, Diana Elizabeth White, and James David White, and great-grandchildren Dylan and Diana M. White.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 10am at Culley's Funeral Home on Riggins Road in Tallahassee with the service starting at 11am. Graveside Committal will be held following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either of International Rett Syndrome Association, Big Bend Hospice, or TMH Foundation.
