Robert Henry Flanagan

Bob proudly served in both the Air Force and Army Reserves, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1999 after a combined 35 years of service. He also worked for the State of Florida Office of the Auditor General for over 30 years.

Bob attended Florida State University on the GI Bill where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee. He was also a member of the American Legion and VVA in Tallahassee.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Helen Gardner Flanagan. Knowing they are now reunited brings the family comfort.

Bob is survived by his son James Flanagan and daughters Marie Campbell and KC (Mike) Gartman as well as nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Amy Thomas for the extraordinary and compassionate care she provided to Bob over these last seven months.
