Robert R. “Bob” Whiting, II, age 67, of Tallahassee passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was born in Willard, Ohio on June 4, 1947 to Robert Raymond Whiting and Florence Masculine Whiting. Robert loved long distance shooting, hunting, and boating as well as racing and tractors.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Johnny Scott. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann; two sons, Robbie and Amy Whiting and Michael and Pattie Whiting of Tallahassee; one daughter, Peggie and husband Derrick Tuttle of Lexington, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and one brother, Richard Whiting of Jacksonville.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home Chapel at 700 Timberlane Road with a graveside service following in MeadowWood Memorial Park at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY, 10016.
