Ronnie Thompson

Ronnie was born on December 6, 1963, in Tallahassee, FL to his beloved parents Willie & Yvonne Thompson. He was a graduate of Godby High School. He served as a dedicated employee of the Leon County School Board where he recently retired. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather aka. “Poppy or Nonnie”. He enjoyed FSU Football, fishing, beach trips & got his greatest joy spending time with family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Thompson; son, Cody Thompson (Christie); daughters, Christina Gunn (Brad) & Keeley Dasher; Parents, Willie & Yvonne Thompson; brother, Michael Smith (Brenda); sisters, Sheryl Wood (Rick), Cindy Rudd; grandchildren, Makayla, Mason, Selena, Dominic, Piper, Ariel, Madison, Tyson & great grand-daughter Iris, amongst many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Gregory & James Thompson, brother-in-law, Wendell Rudd & best friend, Dale Godwin.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and smiles he brought to every person who had the pleasure of knowing him. We will forever cherish the love he shared and the memories he created. He will never be forgotten & will be loved, always & forever!
