She was a long time Woodville resident and was a member of Woodville First Baptist Church. Ruby’s love for children gave her the drive to be a foster mother for the Children’s Home Society, where she cared for over 140 plus new born babies.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Edward Jackson ( and his wife Denise), and three grandchildren; Kerri, Kacey and Joey Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Jackson.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Woodville First Baptist Church with interment to follow in Woodville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday (today) in Woodville First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Bend Hospice, or Children’s Home Society in Ruby’s memory.
