Ruth Zoda Beck

Ruth Ann Zoda Beck, 70, of Tallahassee passed away on January 28, 2025, at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 8, 1954, in Geneva, Illinois to Francis and Alice Zoda. She was married to Roger Beck on August 9, 1980, in Chicago Illinois.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Roger Beck; brother, Mike (Carla) Zoda of Tallahassee; nieces, Penny (Brian) Zoda White, Tiffany Beck of Tallahassee; nephews, Ian Carnegie of Illinois, Timothy Beck of Georgia, Christopher Beck of Tallahassee; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Samuel Zoda, Alice (Springboard) Zoda; and her sister, Judy (Zoda) Carnegie.

She received a BS degree from Illinois State University, an RN degree from Parkland College and an MSW degree from Florida State University. Ruth worked as an RN and as a traveling nurse in Hawaii. She created her own business, Beck Rehabilitation Service, in 1988 where she attended to the medical needs of over 1,500 clients in the Workers' Comp System. She prayed for each of her clients, seeing miracles of healing. She also sent cards and letters to those who needed encouragement.

A memorial service will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida, on March 1, 2025, at 11 am.
