

He was born in Baxley, GA on July 14, 1953.
Samuel served in the US Army, Vietnam War 1972-1975 as a Specialist 4 Expert Rifle Marksmanship.
He was married to Lisa Murray Kersey in May of 1995.
Samuel had a career in IT Logistics for The Pentagon.
He was a member of American Legion Post #49, 1st Vice, Masonic Lodge Hiram #5 and had a passion for wood working, cooking and spending time with his family.
Samuel was preceded in death by his father Eugene Kersey (AKA Jack), mother, Mary Finley, and brothers, Johnny and Roy Kersey.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Lisa Murray Kersey of 30 years; brother, Adam, sisters, Gail, Pat and Faye; three sons, Samuel Eugene Kersey II, Jacob Mathew Kersey, and Elijah Nathaniel Kersey; five grandchildren, Genesis, Corbin, Barret, Kingston, and Valor; and his two cats, Max and Sophie, who will all miss him dearly.
A memorial service for Samuel will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
